Kinmen County Early Intervention Comprehensive Service Center aims to achieve the following:
1. Provide children with (suspected) developmental delays and their family relevant early intervention resources and consultation.
2. Assist families’ in making better use of the resources, and as a result, improve their family functioning and promote the integration between the community and early intervention services for children ages 0-3.
3. Provide professional support for the staff working in early intervention services
4. Consolidate early intervention support services through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Children with (suspected) developmental disabilitiesbetween the ages of 0-6 who reside or are registered in Kinmen County
1. Reporting and referral: We accept documentation and referral of children with (suspected) developmental delays ages 0-6 in the County.
2. Case management: We offer family support services (information and mental health) in areas including medical, education, rehabilitation, welfare subsidy, recreation.
3. Intervention services: According to the child’s needs, we collaborate professionals such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, direct support workers and social workers, to participate in the intervention plan.
4. Professional consultation: We incorporate professionals to help families explore possible learning opportunities for their children
5. Home-based services:We perform demonstration and teach interactive skills that parents can use at home, and community resources that they can utilize.
6. Family / mental health counseling: We provide mental health counseling to parents.
7. Early intervention promotion and consultation: We provide family support through promotional activities and consultation.
