• Goals

In order to promote accessibility of early intervention services in remote areas, Maria’s Community Early Intervention Service Locations are set up to provide convenient, localized, and individualized services that cater to children’s needs and their family’s functioning. Communities that lack resources and families with children with disabilities that have never received services will be first in priority. Resource linking and community early intervention services will be provided. 

• Service Users

Children between the ages of 0-6 and their family, who lack child development resources (at-risk population or those that live in remote areas)

• Description 

1.  We provide children between the ages 0-6 information regarding development intervention and education

2.  We provide individualized service plans (ISP) and the implementation of intervention related services, with the collaboration of the multidisciplinary team and parents.

3.  We provide appropriate services (Service locations, kindergarten and home-based services) according to the child and family’s needs

4.  We provide and connect relevant resources according to the family’s needs in a timely manner.

5.  We provide early intervention, parenting education, picture books loan services and instructions on education materials

6.  We help children excel in all areas and improve parent-child relation by providing interesting and diversified group classes.

7.  We set up local service locations through holding educational activities with on topics related to early intervention with the help of community resources.

8.  We hold training classes on parent education and early intervention

9.  We offer the Play and Activity Room for the public’s use, in hope to facilitate parent-child and peer relations.
