Music Therapy and Special Music Education Research Center
  • Goals

Music Therapy and Special Music Education Research Center aims to transform the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. Through music therapy and various music services (i.e. special education music), the Center hopes to help people with all kinds of needs. The objectives of music therapy are usually non-music related, and are determined by the individual needs. These objectives may include: Develop communication and self-expression skills; improve self-esteem and confidence; assist users in self-reflecting the meaning behind their behaviors; develop the ability to manage emotions; help users develop positive relationships with others; and overcome hurts and mental health issues.
