  • Goals

Since 2000, Maria Community Job Center has undertaken the government’s vocational training program for people with disabilities. The program equips people with disabilities necessary job skills, improves their self-esteem and advocates their right to work. Two years later, Maria undertook community supportive employment program, serving people with disabilities who hope to be part of the competitive job market in Taichung. 

 

  • Service Users

Person with disabilities with a Disability Card between age 15-65, who expresses desire and ability to work after assessment, but cannot independently work in the competitive job market. Person will also need support on the job for at least 3 months. 

 

  • Description

1. Exploration of job opportunities, including environment and job analysis of the opportunity.

2. Development job rehabilitation plans

3. Drafting employment service plans

4. Examination of the match between job and service users

5. Training procedural analysis and job analysis prior to starting of job

6. Training work abilities

7. Accompaniment of interviews and placement of jobs

8. Strengthening person of job stability

9. Referral and connections of relevant resources

10. Follow-up counseling, providing service users at least 3 months of follow-up service (general) or intensive counseling (supportive) after securing job
