• Goals

Taichung City Disabilities Community Resource Center for people with complex needs aims to fully implement disabilities services in the community by providing service users and their families relevant resources in regards to disabilities services, assisting them in making better use of the resources, and offering consultation advice to improve their family functioning. 

• Service Users     

People with disabilities age of 7-64, who currently reside in the Central District, East District, South District, Nantun District, Da-du District of Taichung City. 

• Description      

Case management services:

1.  We link and refer relevant resources to maintain or improve family functioning

2. We offer life transition services for the person with disabilities, assisting him/her with relevant resources associated with each life stage (schooling, employment, healthcare, elder care)  

Mental and life rehabilitation:

1. We hold keynote seminars, growth and support groups, counseling and legal consultation services etc.

2. We offer individualized life rehabilitation trainings on Independent living skills, such as eating training, clothing organization, items storage, cleaning, personal hygiene, use of public transportation and writing and communication skills.

Family counseling services:

1. We offer caregiver support services such as mental and emotional support, financial support, parent education, growth groups, information services

2. We offer caregiver trainings on skills regarding physical care for the person, mental care, stress balance, emotion management, family communication, use of social resources, etc. 

Social Participation Services:

1. We hold promotional activities on our multifaceted social services, consolidate information on people with disabilities and relevant social service resources, and increase the public’s knowledge on policies and social services regarding people with disabilities.

2. We hold all kinds of leisure activities and group classes, seminars etc., to expand the recreational life and social participation for people with disabilities, alleviate caregivers’ mental stress and life burden.

Home service assessment:

For person with disabilities under 50 years of age that currently resides in the Central District, East District, South District, Nantun District, Da-du District of Taichung City.
